Read MoreStokes Tea & Coffee has announced the launch of its much-anticipated ‘Rapha Lincoln GP – Blend 66’ coffee for cycling fans.
The new blend has been specially created to celebrate the Rapha Lincoln GP and will help raise money for this year’s 66th race. £2 from each pack will go to this last monument of British Cycling. Dating back to 1956 the Lincoln Grand Prix is the only race in the UK to run continuously (apart from 2020 due to Covid) since, making it ‘the race to win’ for all UK professionals. Previous winners include Olympians, world champions and Tour De France stars.
Located in the beautiful Roman city of Lincoln, award-winning, family firm Stokes Tea & Coffee, has been brewing up exceptionally fresh roasted beans and blends for over 120 years. The launch of the Blend 66 coffee is the latest in a long line of steps being taken by Stokes to help power cycling in Lincolnshire.
Dan Ellmore from Rapha Lincoln GP
Nick Peel is the fourth generation in the Stokes family to run the company, he said: “We’re really proud to support cycling fans. The Rapha Lincoln GP is a fantastic event and helps inspire people to not only visit our beautiful city, but to get on their bikes and explore the area too”.
“We’re involved in a lot of cycling related activities like the C2C2C – a hundred-mile bike ride which raises money for lots of worthy causes. We’ve also installed a specialist bike rack so that riders can securely leave their bikes while enjoying a visit to our Lawn Café on Union Road. They get special discounts if they’re Rapha Cycling Club members too. Our new Blend 66 will help make sure that pedals continue to be powered by Stokes.”
Rapha Lincoln GP – Blend 66 is set to be a big hit with its bold, nutty and cocoa flavours using Peruvian, Colombian and Kenyan coffee beans. This special coffee is available to buy online as whole beans or ground, for home delivery or click and collect from the Lawn Café on Union Road.
No doubt, cycling fans will be keen to ride over and enjoy a drink of freshly brewed Rapha Lincoln GP blend 66 at the Lawn café – when they visit to collect their order!
The Lawn Café is located at Stokes’ HQ (where the roastery is also based) in the famous Lawn Building – a former 19th Century asylum set in lush grounds on Union Road in Lincoln and is the perfect stop-off for cyclists and visitors to enjoy the city.
