Top brands team up to power pedals in Lincoln.

Cyclists are celebrating again this year as local coffee legends announce extra support for the Lincoln Grand Prix.

Stokes Tea & Coffee has teamed up with a top cycling brand to launch its much-anticipated Rapha Lincoln GP ‘Blend 67’ cyclists’ coffee.

The 121-year-old family coffee roaster has created the special ‘Blend 67’ coffee to celebrate and raise funds for cycling with £2 from every pack sold going to this year’s 67th Lincoln GP race taking place on 14th May.

The Lincoln Grand Prix is an icon in British Cycling which dates back to 1956. Seen as ‘the race to win’ for UK professionals, previous winners of the race include Olympians, world champions and Tour De France stars.

Located just a stone’s throw away from Lincoln castle, award-winning, family firm Stokes Tea & Coffee has been roasting and blending the finest beans since 1902.

Nick Peel is the fourth generation in the Stokes family to run the company, he said: “We are thrilled to support the Rapha Lincoln GP again this year. It’s a fantastic event and brilliant to share our beautiful city and passion for cycling, and coffee of course, with so many visitors and enthusiasts who come to the race”.

Rapha Lincoln GP – Blend 67 comes in eco-friendly, recyclable bags with an eye-catching design portraying the Lincoln Imp. The coffee is bold and nutty with cocoa flavours from expertly roasted Honduran, Colombian and Kenyan coffee beans.

This limited-edition coffee is available while stocks last and can be ordered online as whole beans or ground for home delivery, or choose click and collect from the Lawn Café located at Stokes’ HQ (where the roastery is also based) in the famous Lawn Building – a former 19th Century asylum set in lush grounds on Union Road in Lincoln.
