Delivering Continuous Improvement Solutions in Food and Drink Manufacturing

The National Centre for Food Manufacturing has been granted the delivery of a fully funded Industry 4.0 professional short course by the Institute of Technology’s In-work Skills Pilot to support businesses in the food and drink sector.

Primary beneficiaries of this 3 day virtual course will be predominantly employees of food manufacturing businesses in the UK employed in first level manager roles.

The objective of this Level 4 short course is to explore digital transformation technology to create your own SMART factory.

Dates and times:

Tuesday 8th March, 9am to 3pm
Wednesday 9th March, 9am to 3pm
Thursday 10th March, 9am to 3pm

 

This course will cover:

 

1) IIOT – Industrial Internet of Things 2) Principles of Software, Programming and Control Systems 3) Use of Control Systems to support manufacturing 4) Improving existing Manufacturing systems with product feedback data 5) What does this look like in my business?

• Industrial digitalisation

 

Short pieces of pre work and post course work will be set by the tutors for delegates to complete in their own time.
